Tell us a little about your background?

I was born in Chicago, Illinois. My first 2 years were spent in the US before my mum moved my family to St. Andrews, Scotland where she grew up. I’m half Scottish, half Indian. My family has always been very important to me. Growing up I was fortunate to travel between America and India and see the diverse cultures between the two countries.

I graduated university with a degree in Information Management, however found myself working in the hospitality industry for 11 years. This experience taught me the value of customer service and setting your standards above others. I also gained very important life lessons through backpacking all around the world and helped feed my hunger for travel. Before starting in the industry I ran a number of bars and restaurants.

What got you started in the business?

After 12 days away in India during Christmas 2010, I decided my career in the bar industry had run it’s course. Even though I was a month away from running my own ‘Revolution Vodka Bar’ and earning $45k per year I needed a new challenge and a change.

After couch surfing and attempting to sell digital advertising systems to bars in Edinburgh, I searched the internet and found an advert for ‘customer service and sports’. Once I saw the business breakdown on my second interview, it started to make sense for me and I committed to our management training program.

What are you most grateful for in your business?

The chance to work with motivated, hungry and positive people. Whether it’s a coach or mentor or a person training on their first day it’s exciting to have such motivated people around you.

The chance to think big and work with industry experts and such big clients keeps me motivated everyday.

A chance to step closer to fame, fortune and freedom and the ability to give back to others is the reason everyone at RKM Global Inc works so hard everyday.

What are your hobbies?

I have always been a huge fan of sports and played basketball, rugby and football (soccer), growing up. I can mostly be found watching a game on TV or in the bar as I follow most sports. I follow the Chicago teams (Cubs, Bulls, Bears) and Celtic FC are my favourite team in the UK.

Music has always been a big part of my life and any type of festival or live gig I enjoy attending.

I’ve always traveled since an early age and enjoy going to different countries and experiencing different cultures.

I’m also known for my cooking skills. I can be found cooking a  British Sunday roast, fajitas made from scratch or grilling on the barbecue.

What are your goals?

Another huge year for RKM Global Inc and our clients in terms of growth and generating profit. Expansion across the US before the new year and helping everyone in the company hit their personal goals.

We are a family which grows together.

Any advice for our readers?

Growing up I remember having a poster of Michael Jordan on the wall next to my bed. It was the first time he dunked from the free-throw line, iconic now. I would look at everyone’s face in the crown and the look of amazement on their faces.

“Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen”
